THE WEDDING OF THE CENTURY Each and every one of you is cordially invited to the wedding of the century. Bethany and Sam will be married Saturday, May 24th, at 2 PM under the tent. The reception will begin at 5:30 at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center. If you would like to help make a giant tossed salad for the reception, I’ll be handing out pans two weeks before the wedding. Prayer Meeting Our Prayer Meeting starts on Tuesday, May 6, at 6:30 in the home of Jorge and Hana. We will begin by watching a six week video series, When God’s People Pray, by Jim Cymbala. This is an excellent program and we are expecting God to do great things because we asked Him. If you need directions, call Jorge or Hana at 346-7449. Summer Book Club This summer some of us want to read three Christian biographies. We will begin in June with Martin Luther had a Wife by William J. Peterson. You can get this from Amazon. I am going to order two books of each and I will try to read mine quickly so we can share if you don’t want to buy your own copy. Our July book will be Hudson and Maria by John Pollock. And our August book will be Amy Carmichael of Dohnavar by Frank Houghton. You can get these books from CBD or Amazon. Some questions to be thinking about as you read are: What impressed you? How did God work in this person’s life? And what question would you like to ask this person? We will plan to meet the first part of June to hand out our books and figure out a good time to meet and discuss. I am really looking forward to reading about these wonderful people and seeing how God worked in their lives. Hope you can join us. New Bible Study Come join us for a couples' /co-ed Bible study as we look into God's Word for His wisdom for relationships with the opposite sex! This will be a dynamic study and we hope to change lives and let our marriages and relationships bring glory to God! We will start on May 14th and meet every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at different homes. We will be starting out at the Gauthiers. Call if you need directions 826-6693.
