JULY 2010 NEWSLETTER SUPER SUNDAY, June 6 Sunday Sunday Fellowship Meals Sunday, 4TH OF JULY PICNIC Sunday is the 4th of July so instead of our usual first Sunday Potluck we are going to have a grilling party. It’s the 4th of July so let’s do this right! The church will provide burgers (and veggie burgers), dogs and fresh vegetables to grill. If you want to bring your own thing to grill, you can! Bring salads and desserts. Let freedom ring! PRAYER MEETING We meet every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Jorge and Hana’s. Jesus said, “My house shall be called a house of Prayer!” Please come and join us as we boldly approach God’s throne to receive grace and mercy in our time of need! SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS School is out! The kids are celebrating; the teachers are celebrating! We are already planning for next year. We need teachers for our keiki. You would just teach once a month. The K-2nd grade class is needing a teacher. Could that be you? Contact Pat Howard if you can fill this vacancy. NSCC FACEBOOK SITE We have a church facebook site now! If you are on facebook and would like to be connected with us, just go to your profile or home page, go to the top, where it says 'search' and type in : “North Shore Christian Church, Kilauea, Kauai” When our site comes up, click on the 'add as friend' box at the top. That's all! If you need any guidance in this area, call Sage at 635-1225. There is all kind of good camp pictures on it. We'll be posting pictures of the building as it progresses and there are some great hula and church ohana photos on there! QUILTING Saturday, July 10th, we will meet at noon at Catie Burn’s new house for a potluck lunch and then quilting. This year we are making quilts for the women’s shelter. Everyone is welcome. BIBLE STUDY The women have a study that meets every Tuesday at 9AM at Coral Miles home. Call 826-0333 for directions. Another study meets every Monday. Call Linda (828-1201) for more information. Two Adult bible study groups are currently meeting: 1) “Men's Bible Study” Is on break until August.
